6 Easy steps to help calm the chaos:
Breath deeply- this will help to reset your hypothalamus (flight or flight reaction)
Close your eyes and count to 10 slowly
Rub your fingertips together for 15 seconds
Hum your favorite song
Write a quick note to someone
Be Present: Is your breathing fast, slow, deep, or shallow?
Do you hear noises, such as traffic, or do you hear only silence?
The idea is just to note what is happening without trying to change it.
